Mellow thought about this for a while and, when the schools talent show came up, she entered and sang. She begged her friend not to tell and Lavender promised, complimenting how “Totally amazing” her singing was. She was embarrassed since she had been singing a song from a genre of music her parents forbid her from listening to. One day, while she had been singing to herself while walking home, she literally ran into her friend, Lavender Hearts. Even though she wished for her talent to be classical music, she did have a hobby for singing and humming. She tried many instruments, but failed with them. As such, she believed she had a talent for playing classical music. She was born into a family that all had classical music related talents. Her parents are Viola (Earth pony mare who plays violin) and Sharp Keys (Earth pony Stallion who plays piano) She has three piercings and the tip of one of her ears has a little piece missing(accident at mane styling salon) Her special talent is Singing Post Hardcore music. With a little fleshing out and adjusting, she could be a great character! Thanks for submitting!
I’d love to see you draw a version of her yourself, OP. How did she get her cutie mark, for example. Also, flesh out her backstory a little more. It’s not a good idea to have relationships with canon characters, so I would remove the part about being friends with Fluttershy and Pinkie. The freckles are nice, not something you see all that often. Either try to put a unique spin on it, or find something else to represent tea, like sugar cubes or the like. The bow is cute, but her cutie mark is far too detailed. I would suggest some kind of soft waves, perhaps even a light braid. She seems like a more introverted pony, but this style (Vinyl Scratch’s mane) screams extrovert and sort of punk rock, which a tea pony would not be. Speaking of manes, I know this is pony creator but I still have suggestions. I’d say maybe going with the pink in the mane.
Her coat and mane colours are nice, the pale of the blue combines nicely with the more vibrant teal and pink of the mane. For example, one of my OCs has a talent related to baseball, and his name is Pop Fly referencing baseball without directly saying it. It doesn’t need to be overt, or specifically say ‘tea’ as part of her name, but it should relate. Just try to hint at tea is really what I’m saying. You could change it to something like Sunshine Sugarcube, which gives off the impression of a happy pony and tea or coffee. I’d keep the sunshine part but take out the shadow. The name is rather contradictory, and nothing in it suggests tea. Sunshine grew up in fillydelphia with her parents, but decided to move to a quieter place, ponyville, to start her tea shop. Sunshine like to wind down with a good book ( and a good cup of tea). She gets along extra well with Pinkie and Fluttershy. Her friends call her Sunshine or sometimes just Sun. Sunshine Shadow is a unicorn who loves tea, she has her own tea shop and loves to throw tea parties.
